Wheelchair coach Dave Abel was pleased with the numbers that came down to train at the club’s recent “Try it” day. On the back of other sessions held at the club, training numbers increased by 20%.
“It’s good to see word spreading of the team after our first game when inavailability had us down to the bare bones. Hopefully this is just a sign of things to come and through our “Try it” days we can introduce more people to the sport.”
The next “Try it” day on Sunday 20th May has wheelchair rugby league on the agenda and any one wanting to give this exciting sport a try is welcome.
